Here are two benign deceptions that people commonly use to manipulate you to do whatever they want and to manipulate your emotions for the same purpose: (1) People fake illnesses to keep them from taking responsibility for their actions, speaking sensitive matters where they might be at fault, or doing something they dread doing. (2) People will tell you “Little white lies” as a way to prevent confrontations, elevate your morale, boost your confidence, or minimize the impact of important information. Regardless of the thoughts behind it, benign deceptions are still manipulative practices, and you have to keep yourself away from them. At the end of the day, you have to ensure that your physical, mental, and emotional stability are sustained regardless of the situation.
Sometimes, we want to take a break with things start looking challenging. We are tired, overwhelmed, and stuck in the same place without a place or opportunity to move around. Fight the urgency and do not. Don’t take a break because you will struggle harder to get back on. Pull from deep inside and keep moving on. Although sometimes those feels like walking barefoot on top of hot volcano lava, after you reach your goal and take a glance back, you realize that those were just little pebbles in the middle of the ocean. Never give up.
